It does not provide encryption of any kind. Every app, but in particular any app used to communicate with others in which you accidentally or purposely can say something that you do not want heard by those you don’t want, should have a lot of privacy settings and features to keep people’s conversation safe. To me it lacks the privacy needed in an app of this type. WRONG! Even though I’ve always liked Zello, I hardly ever use it anymore. They actually think that it doesn’t affect them. Most people take their privacy for granted simply because they have no idea how the lack of it affects their lives. Now that I am a Patrol Officer, I’ve become very concerned about privacy. I have recommended the app to a lot of people (may be well over 100 people) and several businesses. I have always liked it and it has been great. I even had the Plus version until they stooped supporting it. I’ve been using Zellow for about eleven years now. This prior review still true today: Zello needs to put out an Apple Watch app. If they have failed to do their jobs and fix the problem, then after 10-12 years if using Zello it’s time for me to say good bye and delete the app. I am not going to bother contacting support, as I am sure I am not the first person this has happened to. When I open the app it automatically tries to log in with the old password, so the system see’s it as another failed attempt. I’ve tried waiting days, and it still won’t let me log in. It says that too many failed attempts, to wait fir a while. Even if you reset your password it still locks you out. Zello users can also send photos and messages to one another and to groups of up to 8,000 users, and can use it to share crucial information that, at times, can mean the difference between life and death. Additional features include a searchable centralized archive of all communication and a new dispatch communication solution. In addition to the geographical coverage extension, the Zello for First Responder program now includes all enterprise-grade solutions, including location history for all users of the network, facilitated by Google Maps. As such, we've decided to open the program to all first responder organizations worldwide at an enterprise level, in an effort to help curb the strain on these systems.” “During this time, first responders and their supervisors need to communicate to a broader set of people who don’t have radios or radio coverage. “As we watch COVID-19 unfold, we are anticipating strains on hospital and first responder systems,”said Bill Moore, CEO of Zello. The company has in fact been receiving multiple applications per hour, an all-time high. Zello has also mobilized staff to quickly handle the surging demand for the program. The current Coronavirus pandemic is no exception. Zello has often emerged as a critical tool in times of crisis for coordinating preparedness and rescue efforts. The Zello app is already localized in 22 languages and the program benefits now extend to any first responder organization in the world. Through its Zello for First Responder program, U.S.-based first responders were previously able to use the professional version of Zello for free. Zello, a push-to-talk voice messaging service that enables collaboration for workers and communities, today announces that its enterprise-grade solution is now available at no cost to first responders, anywhere in the world.
